Associacio Catalana de Psicologia de l'Esport (ACPE)
Candidate for the position of Regular member
My name is Yago Ramis and I am a lecturer and senior researcher in Sport and Exercise Psychology in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). I finished my PhD in 2012. My thesis assessed the competitive anxiety of young athletes and the influence of social agents (coaches, parents and peers) from a Self-Determination Theory perspective.
As senior member of my research group (GEPE-Research Group in Sport and Exercise Psychology), since 2010, I have participated in six European Projects, five from the Erasmus+ Sport programme and one from the former EU 7th Framework Program. As a lecturer, I have also participated in four editions of the European Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology Programme (EMSEP). This expertise has allowed me gaining knowledge and sensitivity towards the challenges and opportunities that Sport Psychology faces across Europe.
As a potential member of the FEPSAC Managing Council, and with a clear vocation of service to the association, I believe I could collaborate in the communication area. Both in my research group and in several research projects (e.g., B-Wiser) I had dissemination responsibilities increasing projects’ positioning and visibility on social media (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, Researchgate). From my point of view, FEPSAC has effectively managed this feature on different platforms (e.g., website) but there is still room for spreading communication towards other networks to increase FEPSAC’s visibility to other potential stakeholders.
